A unique dining experience
Eating at Knik River Lodge is a little out of the ordinary. Inspired by the African safaris we wanted to create a comfortable, elegant yet distinctly outdoors atmosphere. Keeping our not-so-African climate in mind we use a big yurt, elegantly furnished with candle lanterns and nice silverware. Enjoy great Alaskan classics like fresh salmon and king crab. For the meat and poultry lovers we have all natural, grass fed beef, juicy Oregon lamb and a wicked Chicken Marsala. Choose from a selection of appetizers, salads and desserts to complement your meal. No meat? No problem! Several creative vegetarian choices are available like a grilled vegetable lasagna or a nice Indian Curry with wild rice.
Enjoy a selection of local beers and fine wines with your meal or come up for just a fresh coffee and to enjoy the view. Watch the moose in the lower yard during summer evenings or get out the binoculars and watch Dall sheep on the hillside. Get the Alaskan safari feeling?
