This is the ultimate Alaskan adventure! Just yourself and one or two friends or family members on a private helicopter tour to a remote glacier. See amazing scenery, land on the glacier and mush your own dog-team, all in one awesome adventure! Look at Dall sheep, mountain goats, moose and bear on the steep mountain slopes. One of the advantages of our helicopters is the almost unrestricted view so look up, down and around without wings being in the way of your best pictures.

Dogsledding on the glacier

After crossing the magnificent Lake George where icebergs the size of houses break off the face of Colony Glacier the helicopter will land on a glacier, right in the middle of some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in Alaska. Here you join a real Iditarod musher and his dog team for an exiting ride in a dogsled. Meet the new puppies, listen to stories from the trail, get an introduction about running sled dogs and be part of the action as they hook up a dog team. Enjoy your sled dog ride with plenty of opportunities to take pictures from this unforgettable experience and come back inspired by their incredible achievements and their unique relationship with their musher. You get to stand on the runners and control the sled, an experience shared by just a handful of people.

Complete packages from Anchorage

For adventurers that do not spend the night in one of our cabins we have complete packages including hotel transfers from Anchorage and a meal in our award winning restaurant. When you return from your dogsledding adventure our chef will have a delicious lunch (for the morning tours) or dinner (for the afternoon tours) prepared for you. All our food is made from scratch using mostly organic, local ingredients. After your meal our shuttle takes you back to Anchorage where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

$369 per person. Included: total 30 minute helicopter flight and glacier landing, dog sledding tour (approx. 90 minutes on the glacier)

Morning departures: $439 per person. Included: roundtrip shuttle from selected downtown Anchorage hotels, total 30 minute helicopter flight and glacier landing, dog sledding tour, lunch at Knik River Lodge.

 

Afternoon departures: $455 per person. Included: roundtrip shuttle from selected downtown Anchorage hotels, total 30 minute helicopter flight and and glacier landing, dog sledding tour, 3-course dinner at Knik River Lodge.
